One of Paratha’s partners, Ajit, a software Engineer by profession, grew up in London in a Punjabi family and moved to New York City about 15 years ago. He felt the absence of a good curry house in NYC which led to the Bricklane Curry House and now Paratha Junction, which fulfils his craving for a good old home style paratha, makki di roti and sarson da saag.
The décor at Paratha Junction is as unique as the menu. The dining area has walls painted with real curry and turmeric, which creates a soft orange and yellow hue. The entire space feels warm and quaint, yet vibrant. The solid wood tables and simple light fixtures illuminate the space just enough to create an ambient warmth and richness that makes everybody feel at home.
